It's a good mixer. However, one thing I learned about mixers is that the USB data transfer stereo left / right ONLY. For individual tracks for editing, you Firewire mixers should try. A little more expensive but the endless versatility. Sure SM57 are the best. Hand down. All you need is your computer software with its interface mixer. Most mixers come with the necessary software. If you need anything else, feel free to ask.
