The dj world is a rapidly evolving industry. I personally have been making the transition to the new technology of late, the recent addition of DJ CD and MP3 players that emulate vinyl I find it very efficient and useful.

Djs in previous years have been limited to having to press their discs vinyl that launched the United Nations play music, but now there are several options. CD emulators based on vinyl and the numark CDX CDJ800 excellent and the pioneer of the disc allowing jockeys play their own music or any United Nations-released tracks and still have total control that offers vinyl and more.

Some digital software and hardware combination packages are used to play MP3 files directly from a computer, such as Stanton final scratch or scratch by Rane Serato and extremely useful.

Often I see DJs using this software, the advantages are so great that many more people are turning classical vinyl. What does this mean for the average clubber? Well hope to hear more variation in the selection of music in all fields of music.

I updated my DJ for 6 months and haven never looked back. Whereas in the past I was wearing only a pair of Technics SL1210 decks and a two-channel DJ mixer one djm400, now I have implemented much more in my set up at a very affordable price. I now have several options on how I play.

I scratch serato I can play and mix any mp3 file I want as vinyl. I also bought a korg kaos pad 3 for advanced effects. To use disco always carry my Numark AXIS 9 CD player that can play my own productions, but for a more live feel to use the amazing new software Ableton Live. This powerful new tool allows producers and DJs to remix, loop and generally change their footprints in the march for a complete experience new music.

Unlike the old way of having to carry large amounts of vinyl on your record swan flight cases to a club (or pay someone to carry it for you!) currently a portfolio of CDs or a device USB Memory lets your music collection to be easily transported and played as vinyl.

One of the most recent additions to this world is a mixture in a pure digital music players with the iPod. New hardware, such as Numark iDJ2 mixing console looks set to end up being a very popular method for DJs. The ability iPods are some absolutely huge, there is no need to make up to 100 vinyl everywhere, now I can carry 100 times more music in my pocket!

Another big addition is the digital audio recorders such as the iKey iKey and more. Instead of having to record directly to a PC or using cassette tapes, audio runs directly into the unit and can be saved as mp3 or wav. These are incredibly useful for recording live performances and are a very welcome addition.
