What is the difference in acoustic foam (used for sound insulation) vs. regular foam (such as egg cartons)?
I looking for alternative / cheaper methods to soundproof my home studio. I've heard that acoustic foam is different, but it is true that the regular foam ineffective?
Yup, one is for the purpose of soundproofing and the other is as a container for eggs.
